A common problem when you are using Shoutcast as your streamserver is that there is no way getting your meta-data (i.e. title and artist) to the Shoutcast-server, unless ofcourse you are using either Winamp or SAM3 Broadcaster as your playout-system. And frankly, I don’t know anybody who does. And Dalet, although being the defacto standard for playout-systems, does not talk to Shoutcast-servers natively…

If, as I do, you work in broadcasting, you probably are (very) familiar with Dalet. It is possible to have Dalet update a XML-file with new song-information every time a new song is played. Now, wouldn’t it be nice to have this information posted to a Twitter-account, let’s say as a sort of archive of playlists?
